Regular Strength 5-hour ENERGY® shots contain 190 mg of caffeine.
Extra Strength 5-hour ENERGY® shots contain 200 mg of caffeine.
What vitamins are in a 5-hour ENERGY® shot?

Citicoline is a water-soluble compound essential for the synthesis of phosphatidylcholine, a constituent of brain tissue. Citicoline plays a role in neurotransmission and can help support brain function. * - TYROSINE
This 5-hour ENERGY® shot ingredient is an amino acid that transmits nerve impulses to the brain. Tyrosine is found in meat, dairy, fish and grains. - PHENYLALANINE
Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid that enhances alertness. * It’s found in dairy products, avocados, legumes, nuts, leafy vegetables, whole grains, poultry and fish. - TAURINE
This ingredient is a naturally occurring chemical substance present in meat, fish and dairy products. Taurine can be found in the white blood cells, skeletal muscles, heart and central nervous system of human adults. Taurine plays a role in digestion, and is used to process potassium, calcium and sodium in the body, as well as maintain the integrity of cell membranes. * - MALIC ACID

What is a "niacin flush"?
Some people are sensitive to having elevated amounts of niacin (vitamin B-3) in their bodies. You may experience flushing (hot feeling, skin redness) that lasts a few minutes. This is caused by increased blood flow near the skin.

How should I take a 5-hour ENERGY® shot?
This product may not be right for you. Always read and follow the label.
For oral consumption (drinking).
For adults (19 years and older).
1 Serving = 1 bottle.
For occasional use only. Do not exceed two bottles daily, consumed at least 4 hours apart. Use or discard within three days after opening. Refrigeration not necessary.
High Caffeine Content
Do not use with alcohol.
Avoid taking with health products or foods that increase blood pressure.
This product is not intended as a substitute for sleep.
Stop use if hypersensitivity/allergy occurs.
How many bottles of 5-hour ENERGY® can I take per day?
Do not exceed two bottles of 5-hour ENERGY® per day. Be sure to space them at least four hours apart.
Who should NOT drink 5-hour ENERGY®?
- Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Children
- Individuals sensitive to caffeine
- Individuals who are taking medication used to treat Parkinson’s disease, or if you have tardive dyskinesia.
- People diagnosed with phenylketonuria (PKU)*
*5-hour ENERGY® shots contain phenylalanine.
